While Jim Bowman and Deann Simpson were certainly most affected by their friend's rock climbing accident, for many of us, Dick Sulcer's untimely death had to be the crowning tragedy of our high school years. Dick Speer
Amen. I remember when it happened all of us were shocked; think it was the first time that it hit home, with me at least, that life can be very short. Ron Barnes
I too remember Dick and when he had his tragic accident. I ran around with Dick and Jim Bowman and had a few good times with them. But things were never the same after that. Still remembering him to this day. Stan Anderson.
Not knowing of Dick's death, I walked into the Sulcer kitchen to pick up Dick on the way to school. Dick's dad was a barber, so I wasn't shocked to see him on Monday; but the message he gave me was a shock. I have no memory of the rest of the day. Dick and I had been friends since the day he moved to Wheatridge. Denny Edinger
I, too, was shocked by the death of my cousin, Dick Sulcer, at such a young age--18. It is nice that his friends are remembering him in this way. Jim Sulcer
