Word-searches galore

Learning as many words as possible is one of the keys to successful language learning. The word-search games on this page are here to help.

IThe Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations Board use a basic French vocabulary of about 2800 of the most commonly used words. When you take your GCSE French most of the words you need will be from this list.

The word games below use only words from this list and have been grouped under various themes. You can choose to see the words you need either in English or in French but in every case the words you will be looking for will be the French ones.

Each link leads to many different games based on a particular theme. Click on new game to play again using a different selection of words under the same theme.
