This is another Christmas poem that Dad wrote and, the way that Dad felt about Christmas! |
"Christmas Visit"
On Christmas afternoon, you know, We like to go and see, All our Friends and Relatives, Around their Christmas tree. |
Now most of these Dear People, You see but once a year. We sit and talk and laugh and joke, But doesn't it seem queer? |
These People that we know and Love, And should see quite a lot. We see this one day of the year, And leave, it's all forgot. |
Now Dear Friends and Relatives, We should see more and more. For even at the very best, We're not long on this shore.
