"September"
Grass turned brown, from summer's heat, Children going back to school. Tanned with sun, from head to feet, September's here. |
Apples ripe upon the trees, Smell of woodsmoke in the air. Mingling in late summer breeze, September's here. |
Football games on high school fields, Crowds cheering as bands play. Farmers gathering in their yields, September's here. |
Autumn feel in cool late nights, Cornfields brown along the way. Full moon shining, Oh so bright, September's here.

These are two poems about Autumn. Dad didn't forget the kids either. They went back to school in September then!! |
"September"
September, now the nights grow cool, September, now the kids in school. September, bringing summer's end, September. |
September, brings the harvested grain, September, comes the Autumn rain. September, bring ripen'd fruit, September.
|
September, and the wind blows cold, September, Autumn's colors bold. September, bringing frosty morns, September.
E.H. Coe 1973
