"Old Year Out"

Old Year out, New Year in,

The bell's ring out tonight.

Old Year out, New Year in,

We say it with hope that's bright.

Old Year out, New Year in,

The best of the old we keep.

Old Year out, New Year in,

And forget the parts we've weeped.

Old Year out, New Year in,

What will the New Year hold?

Old Year out, New Year in,

For some it's silver and gold.

Old Year out, New Year in,

For others, it's suffering and pain.

Old Year out, New Year in,

For others, it's ill gotten gain.

Old Year out, New Year in,

For some, the beginning of strive.

Old Year out, New Year in,

And others, the end of this life.

Old Year out, New Year in,

For some it's war and disease,

Old Year out, New Year in,

For others, a life of ease.

Old Year out, New Year in,

So we're all of one accord.

Old Year out, New Year in,

It rest's in the Hands of the Lord.
