Bladon is a small village located about 10 miles north of Oxford, near the town of Woodstock and Blenheim Palace.
There is a morning service every Sunday at 11 o'clock at the Methodist Church with occasional evening services at 6 o'clock. Occasionally we hold a United Village Service with our friends at St Martin's Church in Bladon, where Sir Winston Churchill is buried. In 2005 a small piece of local history was made when our Minster, Rev Dr Martin Wellings conducted holy communion at St Martin's for the first time - you can see a picture of the occasion here. For more details please see our services page.
We have a large and active Junior Church who meet in the schoolroom next to the church every Sunday. The first part of the morning service is designated "All-Age Worship" and this part of the service is fun and entertaining for children and adults alike. Last year we purchased an overhead projector and large screen which put to regular use during the services. The Junior Church also stage shows and concerts and have many other events. They even have their own website which can be accessed via our kids section.

In 1977 the church was fully refurbished - the floor was carpeted, the fixed wooden pews were replaced with comfortable chairs and a rostrum was installed. To see pictures of the church just before the refurbishment click here.

If you've got a bit more time then you may find the history section an interesting read. It includes several archive articles and photographs dating back to the 19th century.
