Ducketts Farm, Upware.
We are now able to enjoy a 1/2 mile stretch of the River Cam at Upware.
The stretch is at Ducketts Farm, Upware.

If you are coming from Swaffam Prior, Ducketts Farm is on the left, immediately on the right hand bend just before you come into Upware.
This section of the River Cam is known to produce good nets of silver fish (Bleak, Roach, Rudd and Perch) during the warmer months. There are a good number of Bream in this section that can be caught using traditional Bream fishing tactics.

Latest Update 7th October 2008

Cantelupe Farm.
The fishing on the river continues to be spectacular with some really good hauls of Roach being taken throughout. Bread Punch seems to sort out a better stamp of fish. The 'Midweekers' John Puddick and Peter Brett seem to have the place sussed so if you see them on the river have a quiet word and they might give you some helpful tips!
Mark Leach is still catching. A 5lb net of fish in under 2 hours shows the fish are still there in numbers.

Reservoir.
More on this venue in the next update.

Forthcoming matches.
The next match is on 19th October and is against Cambridge Albion on the Reservoir. The match is fully booked so those who requested a place will be emailed to confirm this. The draw will be at 10am, fishing 11am until 4pm. I'll order some better weather for this match, if it turns up is another thing......!

Headfen Match Result
8 of us fished in glorious sunshine and we all had a fantastic days fishing.
Some caught more than others, just as well as it would have been an 8 way tie for first place.
A few fish were lost but it didn't really make to much of a difference, however some of us took it better than others..... (you know who you are!).
See the match page for the results.

And Finally
A huge thankyou to Mark Leach for all the work he has done around the Reservoir over the past week.
We get very few people who are prepared to help maintain the swims and keep the bankside vegetation down so when you see how nice the swims look around our lake you have Mark to thank.
