CLUB OVERVIEW
Established in 1990, the Comets were the first dog sports club in Victoria, British Columbia. We are a non-profit society whose goal is to have fun with our dogs while promoting responsible dog ownership through Agility and Flyball.

We support the needs of members who want to compete in either dog sport, as well as those who just want to have fun with their dogs.
The Club is affiliated with the North American Flyball Association (NAFA) and the Agility Association of Canada (AAC).

We do demos of both sports on request--free for charities and for a small honorarium for others--making annual appearances at local events and fairs.  Click here to request a demo.

We host and compete in competitive Agility and Flyball tournaments.

We currently have over 100 members with dogs from a wide variety of breeds.  New members are always welcome, but their dogs must be at least one year of age and have taken two of the Club's training courses, or have been trained in Agility and/or Flyball elsewhere.

Membership
Handlers and dogs that have been trained in Agility and/or Flyball may apply to become members of the Capital Comets Dog Sports Club.  Prospective members should contact the appropriate Coordinator and arrange to attend a practice session in order to demonstrate their training.  A membership application form is then filled out and submitted to the Club's Executive for approval.  There is an annual membership fee of $10 per handler and a quarterly activity fee (allowing participation in both sports) of $30.  The Club does not allow drop-in participation in practices.  For more information on training and practices, please click on the links to the respective sports.
