This bird has been recently refurbished and moved (along with several other aircraft exhibits) to a new area. Carole Cobb & Bill Emery recently emailed me these new photos showing the new location (Thanks Carole & Bill)

As you can see above, everything is new as of this posting. On the weekend of 29 & 30 July 00, Bill Emery & Darrell Rudolph repainted the newly aquired tanks from the boneyard with the Minot markings to the Fresno markings and also touched up the radome. Looks great guys!

When I retired in 1979, one of my old bosses, Captain William (Bill) Hall had become the Munitions Officer at Fresno and once when he later dropped by Colorado Springs, he gave me the below photos - one of which has became quite famous on the internet. Little did I (we) know then that this bird would eventually become a static display and better yet, it would survive the later QF-106 Pacer Six Program.

The above photo was taken at the 1980 William Tell. And guess what? There was a reunion on 7 Oct 00 commemorating this event! Click here for all the details and for viewing some photos of the whole gang! I recongnized a couple of people I used to work with , like Major Gerald (Jerry) Bird and CMSGT Steve Segal.
