"EVERLASTING ARMS"  BY LARRY DYKE
LEANING ON THE EVERLASTING ARMS
"SAFE AND SECURE"  BY LARRY DYKE
ELISHA A. HAFFMAN AND ANTHONY J. SHOWALTER WROTE THE WORDS AND MUSIC TO
"LEANING ON THE EVERLASTING ARMS" IN 1887.

THE WORDS WERE INSPIRED BY
A GRIEVING MAN WHOSE WIFE HAD DIED.
Alan Jackson returned to his gospel roots on his "Precious Memories" album.  It originally was recorded as a Christmas gift for his mother. It hit the music
stands and on February 28, 2006.

Extending the family vibe, Jackson drafted his wife Denise and two of
his daughters to sing
"'Tis So Sweet To Trust in Jesus."

What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Leaning, leaning,
Safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
Leaning on the everlasting arms?
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning,
Safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
