NEXT NAC MEETING IN OCTOBER AT CONESTOGA REC CENTER
The next meeting of the Greenway NAC will be on April 20, 2006 at 7:00 PM. We will meet in room 202 at the Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center, 9985 SW 125th Ave. The Recreation Center is just south of Southridge High School and kitty corner from Conestoga Middle School.  There is parking both in front and back of the Recreation Center. The City's Emergency Services program will give a one-hour presentation on emergency preparedness. This is the same class that was very popular when presented in various locations around the city and each of the previous four classes was maxed out for attendance. There will not be a separate mailing for the March meeting agenda. I will have agendas available at the meeting. The agenda will also be posted on the NAC Website (http://greenwaynac.homestead.com) several weeks before the meeting.

HIGHWAY 217 PAC RECOMMENDATIONS
After two years of study and review, the Highway 217 Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) made a final recommendation in November, 2005 of improvement options to move forward for further study.  All of the options studied in the second phase included improvements to interchanges, arterials, transit, and bike and pedestrian routes in the corridor. The options recommended for further study were:
Option A - a new general-purpose (free, unrestricted) lane in each direction on Highway 217
Option B - a new express toll lane in each direction Highway 217 in addition to existing general-purpose lanes

They can use paperback and hard back, but are not encouraging romance paperbacks. All other books are welcome. Computer software or manuals after 1995, please. You are also needed to attend the sale.
