NEXT NAC MEETING IN OCTOBER AT CONESTOGA REC CENTER
The next meeting of the Greenway NAC will be on October 20, 2005 at 7:00 PM. We will meet in a room at the Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center, 9985 SW 125th Ave. The Recreation Center is just south of Southridge High School and kitty corner from Conestoga Middle School.  There is parking both in front and back of the Recreation Center. We are trying a new location due to problems at Conestoga Middle School and a NAC consensus that the Beaverton Resource center was undesirable.  Our guest speaker will be the City of Beaverton Mayor Rob Drake. Rob will give us his vision for the city as well as answer any questions you may want to ask him. This meeting will also be our annual election meeting. There will not be a separate mailing for the October meeting agenda. I will have agendas available at the meeting. The agenda will also be posted on the NAC Website (http://greenwaynac.homestead.com) several weeks before the meeting.

PUBLIC COMMENTS SOUGHT ON HIGHWAY 217 OPTIONS
The Highway 217 PAC is now in Phase II work on proposed options for improving transportation on Highway 217. On Sept. 21 the PAC will select two or more options for further study, recommend a construction phasing approach and consider alternative funding sources.  A public comment period will follow this preliminary recommendation, including a public forum from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Oct. 19, 2005 at the Beaverton Library. An online survey will be available on the Metro website throughout this public comment period. The PAC is scheduled to make a final recommendation on November 16. For more information, visit www.metro-region.org/217.
