Greenway Neighborhood Association Committee (NAC) MEETING MINUTES October 18, 2001 The Greenway NAC meeting was held at Conestoga Middle School in the commons. The meeting was called to order at 7:10 by Jim Persey. Ann Frainey gave the NAC a Treasurer's Report. The Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue crew from Station 66 were unable to attend the NAC meeting. Police Officer Neil Stellingwerf presented the latest Greenway NAC crime statistics. A discussion followed on transients, graffiti, and problems in Greenway Park. There was concern expressed over the police asking for detailed personal information, such as date of birth, from a citizen reporting graffiti. Beaverton City Councilor Cathy Stanton gave an update on city activities. The update was followed by a question and answer session. Local land use issues discussed included the 125th Ave/Brockman intersection, the Hall Boulevard Bike Lanes, and the new apartment complex at the SE corner of 125th and Conestoga. There were no new Neighborhood concerns. The CCI Committee report included information on the results of the fall cleanup held at Beaverton City Hall on June 2, 2001. Greenway NAC received $289.92 from the cleanup. New Business included a discussion of matching funds available from the City of Beaverton for a NAC project. There was no other business brought before the NAC. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m. . |
