Greenway Neighborhood Association Committee (NAC) MEETING MINUTES October 20, 2005 The Greenway NAC meeting was held at the Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center in Room 202. The meeting was called to order at 7:10 by Jim Persey. The Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue crew from Station 66 were unable to attend the NAC meeting. The Beaverton Police Department Community Police Officer did not show up for the meeting. Mayor Rob Drake gave an update on city activities followed by questions and answers. Topics covered included The Round, traffic concerns, police activities, and annexation issues. The Mayor gave us his view of the future of Beaverton. Local land use issues discussed included the Highway 217 Corridor Study, Chevy's Restaurant Redevelopment, and the Cascade Plaza Redevelopment. There were no new Neighborhood concerns. The CCI Committee report included information on the Neighborhood Summit that was to be held on Saturday, October 22, 2005 from 9 am to 12 pm. Elections for the 2006 officers were held and Jim Persey was elected Chair, Stephen Elzinga was elected Vice-Chair, Ann Frainey was elected Treasurer, and Karl Anderson was elected Recorder. The 2005 Board members were all re-elected to the Board. There was no other business brought before the NAC. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m. |
