How To Do It

Bake the cake using the instructions on the box
Allow to cool compeltely

Cut one layer as shown.

Place the round layer on the cookie sheet, leaving a bit of room at the bottom for the bow tie.

Frost the round layer with plain frosting and add coconut (no coloring) This will be the bunny's face.

Add the Bow Tie, frost with plain frosting. (place some coconut in a bowl and add food coloring
(I used green) -just a dew drops to start)
Mix and add until you get the desired color)
Add to Bow Tie and place M&M's to decorate

Add the Ears
(making sure both are of similar size & shape)
Frost with plain frosting & add coconut.
Mix additional coconut in a bowl with a few drops of red food coloring.to make the bunny ears pink.

Add carefully to the middle of the ears, leaving a little white showing at the edges.

For Bunny's Face
Cut licorice into 3 different size pieces for whiskers.

It's helpful to experiment with the facial features on a plate before putting them on the cake.

You'll need a cookie sheet or tray large enough to hold the 2 round layers, flat, one on top of the other
I created my own- using sturdy cardboard, cut to size and covered with foil.
