Where have you gone, my bunnies?
Have you hopped past the moon?
Does silver shimmer in your fur?
Why did you leave so soon?
Where have you gone, my friends?
I miss your cunning ways.
Your whiskered smiles and carrot breath,
Whisper of treasured days.
Where have you gone, my pets?
Are you resting at the edge of night?
I can sense your presence there,
Ears alert and bright eyes, bright.
Where have you gone, my dear ones? Do you leap and dance at dawn? In meadows sweet with clover,
My little bunnies gone.
Where have you gone, my Harry?
Are you just beyond the sun,
In a rainbow dappled land,
Where happy bunnies run?
Where have you gone, my EarlGrey,
Harry's bonded bunny brother?
Kinship shared with Harry alone,
For you would have no other.
Where have you gone, my Rocky
My spotty, lop-eared rabbit?
Are you guarding some bunny fridge
As was your usual habit?
Where have you gone, my darlings,
Where have you gone, my darlings,
Sleeping soft, in my flower bed?
With bunny-shaped marking stones,
And Forget-Me-Nots 'round your heads.
Where have you gone, my bunnies?
You were loved and I hope you knew it.
My heart's a memory meadow now,
With bunnies running through it.
