The Maine Association of Certified Professional Midwives have introduced a bill to license CPM's in Maine.  Please look at the website for more info.  www.macpm.org

Midwives of Maine adopted the national standards set by Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA) which includes the branches of North American Registry of Midwives (NARM), and MEAC.   The professional organization for CPM's is the National Association of Certified Professional Midwives. 

Midwives of Maine encourages the use of informed choice and accepts multiple educational routes such as apprenticeships, private midwifery schools, hands on clinical work, self study and college based course work.

Midwives of Maine requires that all primary care midwives be Certified Professional Midwives thru the North American Registry of Midwives process or Certified Nurse Midwives thru the American College of Nurse Midwives.

New Hampshire Midwifery Certification-  Stay tuned for info.  Maureen is licensed in NH.
Vermont Midwifery Licensure- More info to come.  Brenda is licensed in VT.
