We went to the National Rotary RV Fellowship Rally and the Rotary International Convention in Salt Lake City in June. From there we drove to Banff and Jasper National Parks in Alberta, Canada.
Then we met a "Tracks to Adventure" Alaskan RV Tour in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. That was a trip of a lifetime!
Beginning of October we went with the Rotary RV Fellowship to the Balloon Festival in Albuquerque and then to Death Valley. This was our first experience with 4-wheeling. We didn't know the desert was so beautiful and had so much history and fascinating geology. After all that it was time to get ready for the holidays.
In January, 2008 we completed the Community Emergency Response Team Training (CERT).
In February, 2008 we went to the Rotary District Conference in Newport Beach, CA, to the Los Angeles Arboretum, and to the Religious Education Congress in Anaheim, CA.
In April we went to a RV Rally in Bakersfield, CA. It was fun with tours of on oil refinery, pistachio processing plant, and a Basque restaurant. Then in May we went on another rally in Palm Springs, CA. It was a relaxing time with shuffle board, swimming, eating, and making new friends.
At the end of May we attended the Southwest Computer Conference in San Diego. The Rotary International Convention was held in Los Angeles in June. It was exciting with people from around the world. We learned more about the Rotary worldwide projects.
