Identifying Jindos
Size
Measured at the top of the shoulder where the neck connects to the back. Alternatively "guesstimate" against the known length of your leg from knee to ground. Jindos are "normally" 17" minimum and 23" maximum. Keeping in mind that the "average" Jindo is between 19" and 21". In the shoes I normally wear, the middle of my kneecap is about 20 inches off the ground...thus I expect most Jindos to be about knee high at their shoulders or just a bit taller. While Jindos can certainally be larger or smaller than the ideal, dogs greatly outside the norm should be looked at closely for other non-Jindo characteristics.
