This is the meter of such hymns as "Dear Lord and Father of Mankind."
1. Happy are those who fear the Lord,
Who live by his commands.
Your work will for your needs provide,
And you shall ever happy be;
It shall be well with you.
2. Your wife will be a fruitful vine
Who dwells within your home;
Your children like young olive trees
Who sit around your table there;
So blest those who fear God.
3. May God from Zion bless you e'er.
May you throughout your life
Jerusalem's well-being see.
Grandchildren may you live to know.
Peace be with Israel!
