If you are a serious angler, you demand the highest performance out of your equipment. One way to ensure that your reel doesn't fail you at a crucial time is to make sure it is properly cleaned and lubed. A well maintained reel can be the difference between business as usual and misery. After all, when your on the water, you don't want to be thinking about the performance of your gear and if it will fail you. I've been cleaning reels for over 20 years. I learned how to do it the right way from a Garcia Factory Tech. I have a reputation among my clubmates and people I do business with as being meticulous when it comes to my gear and anything I put my company name on. Cleaning reels for my friends and myself is no exception. I do it the right way so they won't have any problems occur when it counts the most.
My cleaning service is for both spinning and baitcasting reels. It is a multi step process that completely breaks down each reel of grime and dirt as well as the original oil and grease. I strip each reel down and clean it thoroughly to the bare metal. The reel gets completely degreased. Most reel cleaning services simply apply oil and grease without getting the old dirt and gunk out. Once the reel is stripped down, I lube the reels to factory specs using Quantums Hot Sauce. I don't add a dot of oil here and there, I do it the way the factory recommends as per the Factory Schematic. Hot Sauce Oil and Grease is a molecular bonding lubrication that sticks to the working metal parts inside the reel providing smoothness and excellent lubrication. It will not gum up and it does not change properties under extreme temperature changes. This translates into fluid movement and protection for your reel. You owe your reels a little TLC. They will repay you with top notch performance when it counts. When you are fighting that fish of a lifetime, you shouldn't be worrying if your tackle is going to hold up.
Specializing in Shimano, Diawa, Garcia, Quantum, Tica, BPS, Browning/Lews, Okuma and Penn SS series reels.
Super Tuning service is only for casting reels. Do you want to increase your casting distance without having to add high tech, super expensive bearings that need high maintenance to keep them working properly? I've been using a few tricks to make my stock reels cast 20 to 35ft longer on a regular cast using the same amount of effort. Best of all, the modification is less than half of what you would pay to get new bearings, without having them installed. Interested?
My super tuning service focusses on modifying all of the internal contact points of your baitcasting reels. I sand, buff and polish the pinion gears, spool shaft and several other key friction points. The results are amazing with an average of 25 to 30 feet of added distance per cast on average. This process unlocks the spool to spin freely with less friction. This is with using the same amount of casting effort, you do not have to over power your casts to achieve this success. Your stock reels will now have the added ability to cast lighter baits, saving you money in the long run.

Turn around is usually 1 to 2 weeks depending on volume of work. I've never taken more than two weeks to get reels returned to customers. In the fall of 2004 and winter of 2005, we cleaned 250 reels.
