Our next quarterly meeting is on Monday Ocober 6th starting at 7.45 p.m.in the Cadbury Heath hall ( next to the library) in School Rd. Cadbury Heath. Bristol If you are interested in learning more about our historic ancient monument site, please come along to our next meeting. The speaker at this meeting will talk on The Police underwater search team You will be made very welcome. A few weeks ago some twenty members of our group had an enjoyable Sunday afternoon sailing from the docks to Beeses tea gardens for a cream tea. The afternoon was a great success. A Management plan has been drawn up by South Glos which is currently being vetted by English Heritage under which a sum of around £30,000.00 will be spent over the next few years at the Moat site. The work covers tree surgery, a fence and hedge down Stephens Drive, resurfacing the ruins area and hedge laying. Hopeully his plan can be approved and started in the late Autumn. |
