Maryann Schulz lives in Bellville, Texas in an older cottage home which she recently purchased. Her studio is in the home. She is a self -taught artist developing her own unique style of combining realism and impressionism to create a feeling with the many facets of nature providing inspiration.
Her accomplishments include awards in the Brenham Fine Arts League Annual Juried Art Show, 1994/1999 and the Juror's Award in the Brazos Valley Art League 1998 Spring Juried Art Show. Her work hangs in Holland Street Gallery in Bellville and is also owned and enjoyed by private individuals and collectors.
By combining realistic and impressionistic techniques, the artist seeks not only to represent a favorite scene in her paintings, but also to elicit a feeling in the person who is viewing the work.
