hat this database WILL NOT do for you; This information will not prove your descendancy from Daniel and Sarah
Murphree. The information presented here has been gleaned from thousands of sources and is not to be considered as absolute. For purposes of this posting, data has been included even though proof or sources were not available. Compiling all this data without proof for every entry is not a genealogically sound way of constructing a family tree but with our collective efforts in fine tuning the data, this material could become a boon to modern day researchers.
What this database WILL do for you; If you find your name, your parents or your grandparents here with ties back to Daniel, this should be taken as a substantial clue or lead that will give you a jump-start and show you where to concentrate your research efforts. As you seek proof of the data for your own family line, it will benefit all researchers if you will point out any errors that you discover.
With this posting, there are now more than 24,000 individuals and over 10,000 families in the Murphree Database. The original database is constantly being updated as corrections and/or additions are received. It will be posted here as I have time to revise and upload the files. The database posted here is a copy of the original with the sources and notes removed to save server space.
You are welcome to comment or make submissions to the database. I will continue to maintain the Website but Bruce Jordan, the MGA Genealogist and Historian, will be maintaining the database. Please email Bruce with your comments or data submissions.
The information posted in the Murphree Database is intended for use ONLY as a guide to further research.
