Faith of a Farmer
Back To Nature
A farmer understands deep certainties,
Knows winter is a doorway to the spring,
Walks quiet aisles of prayer where templed trees
Prove resurrection of each living thing.
Steadfast he turns fresh furrows to the sun
And feels new sunlight on his old, old, fields;
Each drop of dew and rain an orison
Of hope to guarantee his harvest yields.
He bares his head against an April sky,
Sure of the constant greening of the grass;
When seedlings sprout he does not question why,
Hears trust in wild geese calling as they pass.
A farmers faith affirms an Easter name
When spring returns a green and living flame.

HELEN VIRDEN
"How we get from being judgmental to being accepting is the journey of our lives.   By monitoring what we think and say to ourselves and others, we learn who we are.   If we aren't at peace with what we discover, every experience offers a chance to rectify our attitude and self-perception.   It's never too late to take a road less travelled on our journey."
~ Karen Casey
In Kansas it is illegal to catch bullfrogs in a tomato patch.
