Welcome to our new website. We hope this resource provides you with information on our events and all things to do with the lovely Arabian Horse breed in our community.

OVAHA offers a wide range of activities for both members and non-members. Please visit our Events link for more information on upcoming show, ride, social times or just browse any part of our website for your enjoyment.

If there is any special feature information that you wish to contribute in this section or on upcoming horse clinics, shows, trail rides, fun rides, foal announcements, etc., by all means please contact the new ovaha web master.

Our mandate is to:
Provide a forum for those interested in the Arabian breed;
Promote the Arabian Horse outside of our membership; and;
Introduce the general public to the beauty, intelligence and athletic ability
of the Arabian Horse.

The Competitive Trail Ride Committee is looking for volunteers to help out with the ride coming up on Sat. Oct. 4 and Sun. Oct. 5.
Any help is appreciated. Breakfast, lunch, dinner prep or helping in any way. Timers, P and R people. There will be a training session coming up soon.
If you can give two hours to a half day to a day to two days; whatever would be much appreciated!

Arabian Horses Rescued - Notice

The Arabian Horse community around the Edmonton region have come together to form a Rescue Committee.

The Auction that was to be held at Nilsson Brothers in Clyde, Alberta – has been CANCELLED.
The Arabian horses will NOT be auctioned off.RESCUE 100 is the name of this heartfelt project.WE NEED:
Money Donations: this can be made at any Alberta Treasury Branch across Alberta – the name is “RESCUE 100”
Hay – Round or Square bales
Straw – to be used as bedding and as a temporary shelterbelt
Shelters – do you have an extra shelter available?
