OBT Hondo

   Our objective is to listen to the Dharma in which Amida Buddha's Vow of Universal liberation is embodied. Listening to this Buddhist teaching and the compassion which it manifests will make us the happiest of humans. In return we wish to express our heartfelt appreciation. For that purpose, besides saying the Nembutsu, in some form such as "Namo Amida Butsu," we bow to keep the rules of our order. These include not criticizing other religions and maintaining the basis of cause and effect in all things.  Therefore we avoid superstitious denial of cause and effect by those around us and endeavor to establish and ideal community where we live.
