The Certificate of Amendment of Articles of Incorporation is filed in the Office of the Secretary of State of State of California, dated, April 15, 1999, signed by Bill Jones, Secretary of State.

The Commemoration of the 70th Anniversary

Celebration and Memorial Service was held on September 19, 1999 with theme, "The Oneness of Life" with Nakagawa Sensei officiating. The Rev. Masami Fujitani, Former minister of Oxnard, is our guest speaker. It was wonderful homecoming for Fujitani Sensei and his wife Kyoko and for the members and friends.

1999-2000 Dharma School

A new format for the Dharma School was introduced formatted with 2 to 3 sessions per month to allow time form family activities in 1996.

Hi Dharma School students and parents! Thanks are due to all who helped prepare the playground area for installation! The children will certainly enjoy the new playset! Thanks also to the Jr. YBA ( and volunteers) for the Halloween party! A fun time was enjoyed by all.

The students are working on their presentations for Seibo Taikai.

Oxnard Kendo Dojo

Effective Sunday October 1, 2000, Seishin Kendo Dojo (also known as Oxnard Kendo Dojo) will practice every first Sunday evening of each month from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm within the Oxnard Buddhist Temple social hall.

The Dojo will continue to practice every Monday and Wednesday evening from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm within the Cabrillo Middle School gym located at 1426 East Santa Clara Street, Ventura California 93001.
