The harvest kitchen addition is underground, except for the roof. This picture shows the rubber waterproofing the wall before it was backfilled. The main part of the house is totally underground, with a sod roof.

Eric Oberg, famous sculptor, and his assitant, Mark, use their compressor and drill to make a hole in a piece of rock that is not moving. The only spot in the addition a hole could not be dug for a post.
