I made these drawings since 1995, during my involvement with various projects in Petra. ACOR supported me and financed a good part of this operation. ACOR is planning to release this work, comprised of 30 images from the free standing monuments of Petra, together with a little text. When in the field, I produce these images with traditional drafting equipment--a triangle and a pencil. In Athens , I am collaborating withVassili Zachos, a gifted draftsperon specialized on computer graphics. He owns expensive and sophisticated computer equipment which we use for anybody who wishes to see his/her site come to life. Our prices are very competitive! |

The blue Sinai lizard (Agama sinaita) can be seen scampering over the ancient ruins in Petra and sunning itself atop the standing columns. When in danger, it changes its color from a brilliant blue to the rose red of the surrounding landscape (photo by L. Bedal). |
