What is Audio Restoration?
Old records and tapes like old photographs deteriorate with age. They acquire clicks, pops, crackle and surface noise that mask the recorded music.

The goal of Audio Restoration is to remove this unwanted noise and reveal the recording like it was when new.

Audio Restoration is designed to "clean up" a recording; much like photo restoration is designed to remove years of fading and color shift. The goal is to lift the sound from the recorded medium, so that you can hear the music without the clicks, pops, and scratches. Computers play a big part in audio restoration by allowing us to do things that couldn't be done only a few short years ago. It is now possible to make an old scratchy record sound as good as or sometimes better than new. In order to eliminate as many clicks and pops as possible, we actually check each cut by ear. This time consuming step ensures that the final results will be first rate.

Once the recorded music has been cleaned up, we copy it to CD so that you can conveniently enjoy it again. We even reproduce the original album art work in the CD jewel case.
