Ron Barnes, head groomer has finished his trail funding expenditures for the 2007-2008 season. If you would like to see what it actually costs to maintain the trails, the members who graciously volunteer their time and the number of hours that the club gets credit for in the check from the state, this is very interesting reading. It is an Excel spreadsheet file, quite large almost 9 mb. This is only part of what goes into keeping the club going and trails groomed. Other costs such as electricity, heat, taxes, maintenance on the club house, telephone, payroll etc are not covered. This is why we stress the need for more volunteers to help at the fundraisers we host. The Salisbury Ridgerunners could not exist solely on what we are reimbursed, as total expenditures to keep the trails groomed always exceed what the state sends us.
