Season One
1. The Journey Begins:
Sara Stanley is a rich girl who lives with her father in Montreal.
When he is put under house arrest for imbezzelment, he decides
to send Sara to Avonlea, Prince Edward Island, to meet her
mother's relative for the first time. She must learn to make friends
with her new family who appears to only look at her as being a
burden.

2. The Story Girl Earns Her Name: (June 1903)
Avonlea is putting on a Magic Latern Show. When a con man runs
away with shows funds. Sara has to save the show. She asks the
awkward man, Jasper Dale, to help put on her own Magic Latern
Show. She awes everyone who sees her perform and is dubbed
"The Story Girl".

3. The Quarantine of Alexander Abraham:
Rachel Lynde has become the new Sunday School teacher. Felix
must go to Alexander Abraham's house to warn his hired boy that
Rachel was looking for him. When Felicity dares Sara to enter the
house and make friends with Mr. Abraham things turn bad. Rachel,
Sara and Felix end up quarantined for a fortnight due to the small
pox epidemic. Now these four must learn to live together before
they go insane.

4. The Materializing of Duncan McTavish:
In a town where everyone knows everything about everyone else,
it's hard to have a secret. That's why the town is all a buzz with
action and new gossip when Marilla Cuthbert tells the sewing circle
that she once had a beau. Marilla must face up to her falsehood
when her fake beau turns into a real man who has come to Avonlea.

5. Old Lady Lloyd / Song of the Night:
Old Margaret Lloyd appears to be a rich old lady, without any love
in her heart. When in truth she is hiding in poverty and misery. Sara
makes friends with her, and discovers that Olivia's friend, Sylvia
Grey, holds a special place in Old Miss Lloyd's heart. When Sylvia
is in trouble Miss Lloyd has to give up her pride and ask the help of
her cousin who she hasn't talked to in years.

6. Proof of the Pudding:
The children are left alone with Felicity in charge. No one is getting
along, and Felicity is acting like the queen. Felix eats "poison
berries" and Sara refuses to listen to a word Felicity says. When
they have a visitor to tea, things seem to be getting worse. The
children have to learn to get along and survive the weekend alone.

7. Conversions:
Sara convinces Peter to go to church to Felicity's horror. Peter
doesn't have any sunday clothes and must attend with patches in
his slacks. Peter is upset by all of Felicity's comments, and for once
feels like he doesn't belong. When he becomes deathy ill, the family
realizes how much Peter means to them all. Once he is well the
family starts treating him like one of the family and even sends him
to school with the other children.

8. Aunt Abigail's Beau:
Janet's sister, Abigail, s into perfection. When her old beau,
Malcolm McEwan comes back to marry Abigail after making his
fortune, Abigail has a tough decision to make. Felicity and Sara
attempt to bring the two together. But Abigail must decide if she
can handle having a less than perfect man for a husband.

9. Malcolm and the Baby:
Malcolm and Abigail are back from their honeymoon. But now
Malcolm wants to have a baby and Abigail believes she is too old
to have one. When a young couple dies leaving an infant son the
town is in an uproar about what to do. Hetty and Rachel want the
child, in order to prevent the other one from getting him. Sara and
Felicity decide to take the baby and give him to Malcolm and
Abigail.

10. Felicity's Challenge:
It's harvest time and everyone is preparing for the Harvest day
dance. Felicity is planning to go as a princess again, and Sally
Potts wants the crown. Felicity bets Sally her crown that she can
make Clemmie Ray popular. Sara is upset and refuses to attend
the dance. Felicity must learn the true meaning of friendship.

11. The Witch of Avonlea:
Felix is having trouble in school. No matter how hard he studies he
can't seem to spell. Hetty and Janet are at eachother's throats
blaming the other for Felix's trouble. When Felix gets lost in a storm
he is rescued by the one person he's afraid of more than anyone,
Peg Bowen the witch of Avonlea. He faces his fear and she
teaches him how to believe in himself.

12. The Hope Chest of Arabella King: (December 1903)
(also known as The Blue Chest of Arabella King)
Arabella King has died and has finally sent word that her blue chest,
which has been collecting dust for many years, may be opened.
The children are excited at finally finding out what is in the chest.
Sara is not satisfied with the contents and her curiosity leads her to
discover a false bottom in the chest where Arabella hid all her old
love letters. Olivia and Sara uncover a story that could land Olivia
a job at the Avonlea Chronicle. They seek Jasper Dale's help.

13. Nothing Endures But Change:
The ice skating party is coming up and the children are a glow with
excitement. When Sara's father comes back and wants to take her
home immediately, everyone is filled with worry. Blair and Hetty
start their old quarrel again and everyone is sure that if Hetty keeps
blaming Blair for Ruth's death, that they will never see Sara again.
Sara runs away with her cousins' help, hoping that everyone will
forget about hating eachother. The plan backfires, and only causes
the fighting to become more intense. When Sara falls out of the
barn and is injured, Blair and Hetty finally call a truce.
