Glory Road

Written by: Conrad Cook

Verse I

Is this road your travelin’ dark deserted or dim

Is there hope for tomorrow, put your trust in Him

On this glory road I’m traveling

Many times I stumble on my way

But praise the Lord I’ll soon be leaving

For that land of peace and endless day

Chorus

Now I can see the lights of home

And I can see Him on His throne

I’m too near to turn back now

Oh praise the Lord I’m Heaven bound

When my journey here shall end

I’ll say goodbye to a world of sin

In that fair land, I’ll take my stand

It’s good to be on this road for Gloryland

Verse II

(Written by David Larch)

When I get inside that city, I’ll walk upon the streets of gold

And I, will drink some living water, and hear the story yet untold

Now Mark and John will surely greet me

All my loved ones waiting for me too

But when I see the face of Jesus

I’ll be shouting up and down that Avenue

Opt. Verse II

(Written by Charles Fitzgerald)

Is the load you're under,
Too much for you to bear?
Is your life filled with sorrow,
Does it seem there's no one to care?
Cast your cares on Jesus,
He'll be there to see you through.
Praise the Lord , I'll soon be going
To that happy land
Somewhere beyond the blue.

Another Optional Verse II

(Written by Jessica East)

Oh, so many here are troubled, why I cannot understand-

If you'll only look to Jesus, he alone will take command,

On this Glory Road I'm traveling -up ahead those city lights I see

and Praise the Lord I hear them singing,

It's a band of angels waiting there for me.

Repeat chorus 2 times; end with:

Its good to be on this road for glory

On this road for glory (hallelujah)

I’m on this road for Gloryland
