Heaven is Real
Written by: Nancy Clark Banfield
Verse I
I’ve heard of a land that
lies beyond this life we know
Whose beauty and splendor
cannot be imagined or told
Though my eyes cannot see or
my hands cannot touch it or feel
I plan to go there for I
know that Heaven is real
Chorus
Heaven is real, it’s as real
as the air we breathe
Heaven is real, for the
Bible says and I believe
There is a place prepared
for the pure and the free
And how my heart thrills to
know Heaven is real
Verse II
But if gates there weren’t
pearl, if streets of that city weren’t gold
And if my glorious mansion
were only a humble abode
Oh, I’d still want to go for
that’s where my soul longs to be
For my Savior is there, and
that makes it Heaven for me
Repeat chorus, then
And how my heart thrills, to
know that Heaven is real
