The Rams At Sheltering Pines

SheltergPines Darius is a black/white yuglet/flecket yearling ram born here spring 2002.    His genotype is Aa/Aa BB/B? Ss/Ss.   His dam is E.I.E.I.O. Santana and his sire is SheltrgPines Buster.  This photo was taken by Nancy Krohn when she was visiting during MFF.  (Aug., 2003)

Introducing:  Wintertime Blues

This is Wintertime Blues, a yearling  Gray Katmoget Ram.  Sire is Todhill Jericho.  Dam is Whistlestop 0427 AI.   Blues is 87.5% UK and has an incredibly fine and uniform fleece.   I'm looking forward to seeing how is fleece influences lambs next spring!

Introducing:  FirthofFifth Thayu

This is FirthofFifth Thayu, a shaela Ram.  His fleece is not a combination of white and black fibers...and it almost looks like a very dark version of the "modified" emskets we see..however it is darker..and has a "frosty" look to it.   I've never seen a fleece quite like it.   Thayu is 37.5% UK combining UK genetics from Dillon, Lightning, Greyling Timothy, Jamie and Holly.   Quite an interesting mix.   I'm very excited about what possibilities he may throw in terms of "modified" lambs!
