Shay Gate Riding School offers a friendly, safe, atmosphere, meeting all health and safety requirements; with excellent facilities, for all age groups and abilities, including riding for the disabled.

Book single or bulk lessons, for yourself, or as a group - helmets up to PAS 15 and BEN 1384 European standard; boots can also be provided.

We offer a Livery service - on a full, part-time, or DIY basis, with a twenty-four hour service to all Livery customers.

Children are especially welcomed; the Riding School has a day Summer camp and after school activities - in the Summer we have our own show! We start teaching children from the age of three-and-a-half years in our lead-rein classes, which are held on Saturday and Sunday lunch times.

The School provides private lessons on a one-to-one basis; semi-private lessons - with no more than four other people; Lunging lessons, Jumping lessons and Dressage lessons can also be catered for.

All our School ponies and horses are very well schooled, safe and reliable, who will all work individually in three's or Four's, or in a whole class of no more than seven others.

We hold a full riding school licence and insurance policy and our instructors are British Horse Society qualified.
