Neillsville Saddle Tramps
The Neillsville Saddle Tramps has been in existence for 40 years, with a current membership of appoximately 50 families.  There are a variety of different horse breeds represented by the Saddle Tramps' members, including the Quarter Horse, Arabian, Appaloosa, Paint, Tennsee Walker and, also the Mule and several other breeds.  We offer a spring and fall trail ride, open to the public, and 4-H fun shows and educational clinics each year.    This group has also been actively working to make more designated horse trails in Clark County.  In the last 2 years, we have made approximately 35 miles of horse trails in the Wildrock/Seven Sisters area near Rock Dam.

Did you know:
Typically the adult horse spends approximately 45 minutes in REM sleep, which usually occurs in 9 periods of 5 minutes each.  They also spend about 2 hours in light sleep in 4 to 5 sleep periods and much more time dozing.  Usually at least one horse will be standing watch while the others are sleeping.
