Woodbine is located in the heart of the Loess(Luss) Hills which are unique and only found in Iowa and China. Highway 30 runs through the heart of Woodbine bringing much commerce to the area. The Union Pacific and Illinois Central Railroad lines run through through this great town. Some of its greatest attractions include part of the original, historic Lincoln Highway, and the annual Apple Festival which is held every fall. The Old brick buildings of downtown Woodbine bring a sort of Norman Rockwell feeling to this old town.

Land Market Report

The land market continues to be strong with 5-8 active buyers and bidders at each auction setting record prices. The Kenneth Austin Estate sold in 2 parcels in June and brought nearly $6000 per tillable acre with a CSR of 59. The hill land with a CSR of 42 brought $3300 per crop acre. We sold a 160, 120, and 40 acre parcels of pasture and timber ares this month for $2500 per acre with primarily recreational buyers.

As we move toward the fall auction season, we have many farms coming on the market. If you are planning to market your land please attend one of our auctions.
