At last. the  ULTIMATE in '86 and up lighting!!!  Real glass H-4 Euro lights
Lighting the way Volvo intended, you will never regret this upgrade.
And if you're going to have Euro headlights why not have
Euro turn signal/side marker lights

Information on upgrading 4 lamp systems to Euro spec lighting and adding relays is in the Quick index

Sound Proofing, making a 245 quiet enough to hear yourself think!!

I replaced the aging harnesses in Jay's wagon and took some pics with my new digital camera, the process is the same as on a 700 car but since I got better pics I did the page on the 240 rather than scanning the pics of the job I did on the 700.

I got my harness' from Dave Barton's link below.

All procedures shown here were done by myself in my driveway or at the shop down at work, some require access to hydraulic presses but most can be done with regular hand tools.
All information, is correct as I understand it, and the techniques shown here worked for me when I did the job, however please read the disclaimer.
Hi I'm Dave Shannon more commonly known as daveshan.  Welcome to my Volvo maintenance / performance page.

Please note, there is no way I can doccument all steps to these procedures, use common sense and if you run into something you can't figure out don't break anything, ask the good folks at the brickboard or swedishbricks
I just can't stop, they keep following me home. (link to 1800s page)
The 1800 parts car, I know it looks good but you should see the rust under the 1/2" of bondo in back.  I've got a rust free '67 rolling shell to put the drivetrain into.
The latest addition.  I bought it as a '62 but when I got it home and ran the type code it turns out to be a '63 (21134C)  It was a well loved car and will be brought back to life as it was when it came from Sweden.  It came over with it's owner in the early '90s and has the original paperwork in Swedish.  Everything on the car  is in the mother tongue.

The one that started it all, my trusty '88.  Just passed 200K and still runs and drives like new.  Well better actually, many modifications to make it quicker and handle like it's on rails.
The new shop.
26'X26' heated, insulated high in the pines near Durango Colorado. By the end of June I hope to be enjoying the serinity of the mountains, finally out of the rat race called San Diego.  The shop has an extra high cieling so I finally get to have a lift to make things easier.
