Ever since I bought my '88 240 back in 8/97 I've been thinking "Hmmm this is nice but, I'm too damn young for an automatic". And "This thing needs just a little more zip". Well after two years of casually searching the want adds (daily) I found it: "Volvo 85 240 turbo good cond $1200" I called and asked if it was intercooled and the seller said "I think so, somebody told me it was" It was filthy, not running and when I got it running the boost gauge showed no boost (waste gate stuck open) I thought the compression was low until I checked my 20 year old gauge. With a new gauge it has 152+- 2lbs per square inch in each cyl. Anyway to make a long story semi long I got it for $1,000
Somebody sold/traded the turbo wheels, but everything else is there. What was important to me was the fact that there is no rust (or so I thought) and everything electrical works!!!!

Somewhere in all that mess was a bad wiring harness and some iffy sensors
The tan interior is history, I found a black interior in great shape and dumped the tan.
