Kimberly is 6 months old - and she has a tooth!
Hi everyone, it's "Mom" here. I took Kimberly to the doctor last week for her 6 month appointment.
She got 2 shots, and she was such a trooper! One quick cry, and she was done. She was totally fine after that. Liz, the nurse, is so great at giving shots - very fast!
Dr. Rao was looking in her throat and mouth, and noted that there weren't any swollen gums....but hey! A tooth has already poked through. One of her bottom teeth has poked through, and the second one is right there too! Maybe we'll have a picture of a toothy grin soon!
She is rolling all over the place - her new thing is to start rolling, and then just keep rolling and rolling and rolling until she runs into something. I'm guessing that scooting isn't too far behind!
Everyone else here is doing well - Neil just had his golf weekend in Palm Desert with his softball buddies, and Kimberly & I drove down to San Diego County for a housewarming party of one of my co-workers. Kali got left at home, and now we know that 12 hours alone in the house is too long without a doggie door..........
We're going to be busy busy busy - Grandma & Grandpa Willard are visiting this weekend, plus we have a birthday party for one of her daycare buddies. In September, Neil & I are going to Vegas for 2 nights, and Grandma Bean is coming to watch Kimberly. In October, Grandma Bean and Papa are coming to visit and go to the Pt. Mugu Air Show, then we go to Arizona for 5 days with Grandma & Grandpa Willard so the Neil can play in a baseball tournament with his Dad.
Oh, all my friends had their babies (within 6 months of each other), and everyone is doing well. I can't wait till they're all a little older, and we can get Kimberly, Dylan, Nicole, and Jonah together for play dates!
That's all for now - Hope everyone is happy and healthy, and I wish you enough.......
Lisa
- She is 27 1/2 inches long - 97th percentile
- She is 17 lbs. - 75th percentile (this weight is debatable - I weighed her last week, and I thought she was closer to 18 lbs., but at the office, she was sitting on the scale, and grabbing everything in sight, so it was hard to zero in on the right weight!)
- Her head is 16 3/4 inches - who knows what percentile that is, but the dr. had to remeasure it, because the nurse measured 16 inches, which is apparently much too small!
