I am a Magician!

Today mommy and I went over to see Stephanie & Jonah. Jonah is getting big, but I am still bigger!! Mommy went to see Stephanie because she needs a dress for some big party she is going to this weekend (I get to stay at home with Grandma Terry - Yeah!). Stephanie has cool clothes, I guess. While mommy was trying on dresses, I got to play on the floor, and mommy gave me a credit card and her driving license to play with. Also Elmo, who is my favorite stuffed toy right now!!

So, I was playing with the cards, and mommy tried on dresses. She looked bee-you-ti-full. She tried on some dresses that were too small, and some that just weren't right on her, but she did find a pretty black top and a really cool skirt! I hope her and Daddy have fun this weekend, they're going to Some Diego place.

After Mommy found something to wear, we were getting ready to go home to see Daddy & Kali. Mommy was collecting all her stuff, and she couldn't find her driving thing. She looked EVERYWHERE, in her shoes, on the floor, in the closet, on the bed. She looked and looked and looked, but she couldn't find it. She even checked in my pants - I guess she thought I might know how to put things in pockets??? Finally, she gave up. Stephanie said that she would keep looking and call our house if she found anything.

When we got to the car, Mommy held me up with two hands to put me in my carseat. She felt something hard in my back......she started laughing. She carried me back to the front door and knocked, and Stephanie and Jonah came to the door. She had Stephanie touch my back....SHE started laughing. Now, I know I'm only 9 months and 18 days old, but is there REALLY something funny about my back? You'd tell me, wouldn't you???

It turns out, the driving thing was in my shirt. Mommy asked me how it got there, but - hey - a magician's gotta have some secrets, right?

Love you all,

KJ

Sleep is for Sissies (part 2)

So, after Kimberly got that writing out of her system last night, she slept and slept and slept........I finally woke her up at 7:15 this morning. I hope she naps today....I sent her to daycare in her PJ's, with her favorite "blankie" that she likes to chew on while napping. Kirsten's going to run the humidifier or fan to give her some white noise.

Tomorrow is the weekend (yeah!) - she'll probably wake up at 5:30am......it's like she KNOWS.

**UPDATE** Kimberly took a hour and 45 minute nap this morning (Yeah!) She woke up happy and smiling, and is playing with the other kids as we speak. Grandma Bn - was it your talking-to that did the trick??**

Sleep is for Sissies

Well, I finally recovered from Thanksgiving. Did you know that this holiday involves a lot of eating. It was great! I had Turkey, Ham, Sweet Potatoes, Squash, Stuffing, and Cheerios (I LOVE Cheerios!) All the food was so good - Great Grandpa Don did a gooooooood job. I got to see lots of my dad's family, aunts, uncles, cousins.

Then I got to see my Aunt Tracey & Uncle Dave, and their BIG DOGS, Boston & Harvard. They're the same kind of dogs as Kali, but they are WAY bigger. Grandma Terry has a dog named Ty that is big and slobbery, he and Kali chased each other around the pool table until Ginger started barking at them.

I am starting to be more independent. A couple of weeks ago, when people left the room, I would just cry because I wanted to go with them, but I didn't know how. Now I just crawl after them -- it's much faster that way. I can also pull myself up on anything to get what I want. I 'specially like books from the bookcase, and anything having to do with the computer, or phones, or any electronics, really.........

Sleep is for sissies. Naps are for ninnies. These are my mottos this week. I haven't been napping at all during daycare. Mommy & Kirsten think maybe I'm afraid I might miss something. They're going to try some new stuff to see if they can get me to sleep, but I'll probably beat them at their game (ha ha ha).

Well, I'm off to bed - gotta be well rested if I'm not gonna nap!
