Hi. My name is Sherry Wolfe Parker.  I have been working on my family tree for the last eight years.  Our Wolfe family came into York County, Pa. around 1751 from the Rhine Valley in Germany. John Wolfe Sr. married Catherine "Caty" Bare in Berkley County, West Virginia  in 1778. Around 1783 they came down to North Carolina. and then settled on the North Fork of the Holston River in Scott County, Virginia where they raised their children. John's two sisters Mary and Barbara settled in Sullivan County, Tennessee. John's two brothers Charles and George settled with their families in Hawkins County, Tennessee. Most of the families stayed in  Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. On my page I have 5,067 names in the Index. Nicholas Wolf:

  We are trying to find the parents of John Wolfe. My brother Mike found a church in York County, PA that has a christening record for a John Jacob Wolf born, Dec 27, 1751 baptised April 26, 1752 parents John Nicholas Wolf and Maria Elizabeth. We Know that a Nicholas Wolf owned property in Sullivan County, TN near Johns sisters Mary and Barbara. The dates on the christening record match what we have for John's date of birth. This evidence may link John Nicholas and Maria Elizabeth as the parents of John. Can anyone help me verify this information?
